Trek to kodacadri Theme: Trekking Location: 1) Kodchadri(near Kollur,Karnataka) Intended dates: 1) May 9, 10 (will leave on 8th night, Friday and will be back on 11th Monday early morning) Journey breakup:depends upon the seat availibility(as of now its available) 1)Bangalore to Kollur (Rajahamsa Executive Bus) 2)Kollur to Shimoga (local Bus) 3)Shimoga to Bangalore (Train ,sleeper Class) Trek route: 1) Marakuttaka - Hidlumane falls - Kodachadri - ArishinaGundi falls (if intrested)- kollur This will be 2 full days trek.Is 20 odd kms. Grade: 1) Moderate (first timers can join) Ideal team size: 10-12 Night halt: 1) Under the bright stars.(those who need an IB/Guest House accomadation can avail at an extra cost) Food: Will be taken care by us. Cost: 1) 1400/-head approx. Kodchadri is famous for its beautiful sunrises and sunsets,with chilly weather and two waterfalls in its vicinity its the favourite hotspot for many trekkers.Also its close proximity with Kollur (famous for kollur mookambika temple)invities lots of devotees from all over karnataka. And a recent film Gaalipata *ing Ganesh of (Mungaaru Male fame) made this place more famous.
